Spinal manipulation for back pain
Back pain is very common physical disorder often treated in variety of traditional means like the intake of different drugs under the class of pain killers, anti - inflammatory or muscular relaxants or by having regular physical therapy and back exercises. Some of these conventional practices have already been observed as not very effective in the treatment of back pain. The methods like traction, bed rest, corsets, heat therapy or even massage have not given a significant relief to the patients and hence are not recommended. An Evaluation of Psychological and Physiological Effects
The purpose of this work is to evaluate individual differences in the human stress response and to measure both the psychological and physiological effects of stress-induced stimuli. Stressful situations often trigger a physical reaction within a person as the individual becomes internally agitated on a mental and chemical level. This project will identify the potential health risks associated with the body's stress response and will evaluate professional research that highlights how differing stress responses vary among individuals. The author would throw light on a specific teaching group like Pilates, and contrast various learning methodologies to that fit the requirements of the class. The author would also identify certain factors which affect learning in an ordinary individual before evaluating and explaining at least two learning theories in detail. The author would then throw some light on the activities, skills and resources which are used in this inclusive practice session. The author would also include some new technologies and discuss their theories with regards to the principles of learning and communication which can then be applied to promote inclusive learning. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma
Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), which encompass emphysema and chronic bronchitis, are the widespread diseases of lungs with obstructed airflow. It is imperative to discriminate with accuracy between asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease to minimize the risk of improper treatment of the disease. Much attention has been given to Asthma while COPD remained quite neglected over the years. The inflammatory responses in both these conditions show variations. In asthma, eosinophilic inflammation occur causing airway tenderness, whereas in COPD neutrophilic inflammation causes the obstruction in air passage. The lung parenchyma destruction is the irreversible characteristic of COPD, which is not depicted in asthma; therefore, corticosteroids fail to alter the progression of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Barnes, 2000).
