For many learners, mathematics requirements become roadblocks to personal and professional development. Here, we conduct detailed analysis of a one career person's mathematical knowledge, experience, and career requirements. From this case study, we make a recommendation that meets the student's needs. To accomplish this aim, we use feedback from an intensive dialogue-based assessment of our subject to support learning and teaching in numeracy.
